Christmas is just around the corner and we are now able to travel to see our loved ones as of the 20th of this Month.
Christmas is all about love, joy and staying safe, but as the borders open to the rest of Australia, the risk of Covid-19 entering Darwin will increase and staying safe will become a priority. So in response to the new Northern Territory Border Entry Rules, we at Uzuri Hair Studio feel that extra precautions are warranted when keeping ourselves, family and clients safe this Christmas and beyond.
With the nature of our business requiring us to be in close proximity, this increases the risk of infection if one of our clients happens to be positive. And as most of us are self-employed and have vulnerable family members and clients, our team at Uzuri Hair Studio feel that the risk is too high to gamble so we have implemented a firm but fair new policy to protect our team and clients to the possibility of infections.
The following new policy will apply to any client who wishes to have their hair done within 7 to 14 days from date of entry into Darwin:
- As of the 20th of December 2021, any client who has travelled Domestically will need to provide a day 6 negative RAT test in line with the NT Border Entry Regulations before coming to their appointment.
- Any client who has travelled Internationally will need to wait a 14 day period and provide a negative PCR test in line with the NT International Arrivals Regulations before coming to their appointment.
- Any client who has returned from a Covid-19 hotspot in the NT will need to return a negative RAT test or wait a 14 day period before coming to their appointment.
- Clients who cannot provide a negative PCR test will need to wait a 14 day period before coming to their appointment.
- Any client who is deemed a close contact to someone from the above list will need to wait until they are classified as safe per the corresponding regulations.
